The Great Sussex Bath Race 2014

We have decided at THL that it’s time for the Partners to roll up their sleeves and dig out the speedos to take part in a fun and unique raft-race – “The Great Sussex Bath Race 2014” on Sunday 22 June.

The day will start with us building our bathtub raft, with a full inspection before cast off!  The racing tournament will then commence with 7 teams competing in their raft over an approximate distance of 250 yards in each round.  Our family and friends will be cheering us on from the side-lines, keeping the dogs at bay and out of the freezing cold water!  The Grand Final and Demolition Derby will then follow – may the best raft survive!  Our day will then be rounded off with the Awards Ceremony and much needed refreshments.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us to race against 20 other corporate teams, donations will be quickly processed and passed to the chosen charities:

Chestnut Tree House, Children’s Hospice Care – Chestnut Tree House is the only children’s hospice in Sussex that cares for children and young adults from 0-25 years with progressive life-limiting conditions from Sussex and South East Hampshire.  The hospice provides a “home from home” environment which costs nearly £3 million per year to run.

Lifecentre, Supporting survivors of rape and sexual abuse – Lifecentre is the only charity in West Sussex specialising in supporting men, women and child survivors of sexual abuse and rape, their supporters and families.  Lifecentre helps survivors return to healthier, more productive and fulfilling lives.
