Unsure on Making Tax Digital (MTD) and how it will affect your business?

Making Tax Digital (MTD) is the biggest change to taxation since the introduction of Self-Assessment; designed to make sure the UK tax system is effective, efficient and easier for taxpayers.

From 1 April 2019, Making Tax Digital will begin for VAT-registered businesses above the threshold of £85k. Businesses will have to keep digital records and submit VAT returns using compatible software. Other components of Making Tax Digital, such as income tax and corporation tax, have been placed on hold until April 2020 at the earliest.

Guidance on how to prepare for Brexit if there’s no deal

There’s just under six months to go before we leave the EU on 29 March 2019 and the government has issued guidance notes covering a whole range of areas on how to prepare if the UK leaves the EU with no deal.  The guidance notes were original published on 23 August 2018 and were last updated on 24 September 2018, with further guidance promised in the run up to deadline date.

Without wishing to be political, these guidance notes make scary reading.  Please use the following link to access them if you dare!
